    Biography

    * 1953 Barberton High School graduate Tom Dimitroff began his football career under the coaching of Barberton Hall of Famer Junie Ferrall, as an outstanding quarterback and defensive back. While at Barberton, Tom twice earned berths on the All County football teams.

    Upon his graduation from Barberton High, Tom was awarded a scholarship to Miami University where he played three years for Ara Parseghian and one (1) year under Johnny Pott. While at Miami he was twice made All Mid American Conference quarterback and compiled a record of 1096 career yeards passing, 542 yards rushing and 53 total points.

    Tom joined the pro football ranks with the New York Titans and the Canadian league Ottawa Rough Riders, a team for which he played three years and then became assistant coach.

    At the high school level, Tom has coached locally at both Barberton and Wadsworth. Collegiately, at Miami he returned to coach under former team mate Bill Mallory for four (4) years, then Kansas State for one year. Returning to the pros, he held head coaching jobs with Hamilton ahd Toronto of the Canadian league. Tom for the past three years has been head coach at Grauf College in Ontario.
