    Ingrid began her sports career at the age of ten, playing tennis in the Barberton Parks Recreation Program. There was only an intramural girls sports program at Barberton High so she spent her time in basketball and tennis as well as some time playing golf. Tennis was, however, her favorite and by her sixteenth birthday she was recognized as one of the outstanding female players in Summit County.

    By her 18th year Ingrid was playing tournament tennis with the best in Northern Ohio and had many wins in the area. She, along with Bob Archer of Cuyahoga Falls, placed in the National Junior Championship Tournament in Michigan. They played both as singles and teamed for the mixed doubles. Ingrid became Northeastern Ohio Junior Tennis champ at this time. During the same year she won honors in the Dayton Tournament and in a field of 28, won top honors as Ohio Chamber of Commerce Junior Women's champion.

    A knee injury in 1960 hampered her practice, but she continued playing in Ohio, Michigan and Florida. She graduated from Barberton High, June, 1960, and enrolled at the University of Miami, Coral Gables, and earned a degree in Medical Technology. Sports during her college years and since have been limited tennis. bowling and golf. She dropped out of the Tournament circuit when at college because of the aggravated knee injury.

    Ingrid holds a Bachelor of Science Degree (Botany). Bachelor oi Science Medical Records and Administration, 1982 Registered Record Administrator and 1984 Certification National Association of Quality Assurance and others. She is a member and was Director of the Local Southern Florida Medical Record Association.

    Ingrid is actively involved in the National Organization for Women, senied locally and statewide on committees and has acted as Director, Co-Chairperson and Director of the Board.

    She is employed at Miami Children's Hospital as Director of Quality Assurance and has resided in in Miami as a Research Assistant in the Marine Laboratory. She followed this as a Legislative Administrative Assistant to the Florida House of Representatives and in 1981 returned to college for degree work in Medical Quality Assurance.
